CRPH Staff Spotlight: Meet Stefanie Humphrey
The Center for Rural and Primary Healthcare is pleased to introduce Stefanie Humphrey, who joined the Center as Communications Coordinator in August 2026.
For Stefanie, a career in communications has been a natural way to combine creativity, problem-solving, and a desire to help others. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Reinhardt University, she gained experience in communications, project coordination, and marketing. Along the way, she developed a passion for creating clear, engaging content and improving the systems that support it.
Throughout her career, Stefanie’s work has bridged communications, design, and operations in both nonprofit and corporate settings. Whether improving a website, creating content and branded materials, or shaping a communications strategy, she enjoys turning ideas into resources that are useful, approachable, and easy to navigate.
As Communications Coordinator, Stefanie leads our efforts to tell the story of CRPH, its funded partners, and their cumulative impact on rural South Carolina through strategic communications, marketing, and branding. Her work shines a light on the people, partnerships, and funded programs that help rural communities thrive—and on CRPH’s role in supporting that work. Additionally, she leads the development and implementation of CRPH’s communications plan and creates tailored communications materials to support the Center and program-specific goals.
“Having Stefanie on board will allow us to talk about the impact our Center is having across rural South Carolina, and how our partners are leading the way in improving the health of their communities,” said Dr. Kevin Bennett, CRPH Director.
For Stefanie, her role is about helping people understand not only what CRPH does, but why that work matters.
“I’ve always enjoyed taking complex information and making it clear as well as user-friendly,” Stefanie said. “I’m excited to put what I’ve learned throughout my career into practice for an organization that’s doing such meaningful work for rural South Carolina. I look forward to sharing more of the Center’s work and telling stories about how our funded programs are making a difference in communities.”
Originally from Mississippi, Stefanie lived throughout the Southeast before recently relocating to the Midlands with her husband and their puppy. Outside of work, she enjoys making wheel-thrown pottery, trying new tearooms and coffee shops, gardening, home design, and exploring South Carolina.
